St Peter Port will host a full schedule of events on Liberation Day which requires a considerable amount of infrastructure to be built in the preceeding days.
Some roads and parking areas will be impacted throughout the week to accommodate this and a number of road closures and parking suspensions will be in place. Please familarise yourself with the pending road closures and parking suspensions.
To help keep things moving smoothly, we encourage Islanders to use active travel options like walking, cycling or taking the bus wherever possible. If you are driving, please allow extra time and check for any temporary restrictions before setting off.
Please note the Cavalcade will be travelling from the Vaugrat campsite into St Peter Port from 2pm and the floats from Longue Hougue at 1pm. The Cavalcade will work on a rolling closure and we would strongly advise people to avoid driving the route of this during these times as you may be subject to delays and/or diversions. The full Cavalcade route can be found here.
