YOUR GUIDE TO THIS YEAR'S CELEBRATIONS
Here you'll find all the information you'll need on this year's celebrations.
All the usual and well loved events are back for 2019 including the relay race, Home Front Marquee, Cavalcade and Fireworks.
We hope to see you there on the day!
TIMELINE FOR THE DAY
9am – Guernsey Schools Relay Race
9.40am – Liberation Parade ‘fall in’ at North Beach
11am – Town Church Service
10.30am - 4.30pm Waitrose NAAFI Tea Tent on Albany
12 noon – 10.30pm – Live Music and Entertainment in Home Front Marquee
2.30pm - Cavalcade
2pm – 5pm – Liberation Day Music at the Castle
4pm - 10.30pm - Randalls Beer tent open
5pm – Band of the Royal Armoured Corps. – Home Front Marquee
9.30pm – Fireworks Display
ACTIVITIES FOR THE KIDS
This year we've put on more activities for children, these include; Climbing Wall, Aquativity balls, Waterpeddlerz, Face painting, bouncy castles, balloons, Wonder Women of War, Live music, traditional games, dance shows and much more!
KEEP OUR ISLAND GREEN & CLEAN
There will be plenty of bins around on all the piers, and along the Quay. Please use them and dispose of your rubbish correctly. We want to avoid any rubbish ending up in the harbour, so please help us and use the bins. They will be emptied throughout the day to ensure they don't overflow.
PARKING & SHUTTLES
There will be parking available at North Beach, Salerie Corner and Havelet.
There will also be parking at the top of the Val De Terres with a free park and ride shuttle service to Havelet.
Albert Pier will be closed from 5.00pm on 7th May
The Albany will close at 5.00pm on 8th May
Crown Pier and Castle Emplacement will close at 10:00pm on 8th May
The temporary bus terminus will move to North Beach for the duration of 9th May
